What if you uncovered all the secrets of Guise? Set out in the footsteps of Jean-Baptiste André Godin, founder of the famous 'Petit Godin' and the Familistère, and in the footsteps of the Dukes of Guise!

Do you know what the Familistère is? No? The Familistère is a genuine social palace that Godin created for his employees in the 19th century! It has a theatre, a pool, pleasure garden, cooperative stores: Versailles for the working-class! To answer all your questions, Amélie from the Familistère has put together an enticing programme. It starts with a lunch of local products at the former refreshments room of the Familistère’s cooperative stores, followed by a guided tour of the familistère and ends later on that day at a Thiérache Logis de France hotel where you’ll dine and spend a pleasant night. The next day, you’ll visit the fortified castle of the Dukes of Guise. We particularly enjoy the underground passages and the children’s playground!
